Classwork	Wow!!! What a great start to the new year! We were busy with routines, procedures and of course school work. Reading: Time for Kids. Ask you student about some of the interesting articles they read. Writing: We completed our first Opinion piece. Today's topic, "Is It Fair To Keep Wild Animals Captive?" Math: Math Facts and some addition and subtraction. We will start with lesson 1.2 on Monday Social Studies: United States Map

Classwork	Reading- “A Fiery Flow” ** We will be doing a shorter version of weekly work this week due to PARCC Testing.   Writing-This week we will do a little creative writing before spring break.     Reading- Free Choice!  Please be sure to have a book to read.  Literature Circles will resume after break. Writing- We will complete our “Fancy Folders” this week.  Each folder will have numerous writing components in it.   Math- Unit 10 Balancing Equations. Lesson 10.5   Lesson 2.1 & 2.2
