Classwork	Reading- Scholastic News ”Taking A Stand” Writing-We are kicking off our Opinion Unit with research.  We will be writing our opinions on -Should  Chocolate Milk Be Served At School? Highlighted information that might be used to support opinions from various text selections. Reading- Literature Circle- I received wonderful feedback from our parents that volunteer to run a group. Students demonstrated higher level thinking and great discussions.   P.A.W- Shared with class. Math- 5th-Constructed Responses on Standard 5.3 add and subtract fractions.  If you have a chance please look at your child's work.
Homework	Math-Finish constructed responses if you didn’t in class. Math- Reading-  20 minutes   Spelling-No spelling next week PAW- No PAW next week *MATH STUDENTS- It is VERY important that you are checking your math teachers blog.
Reminders	**Friendly reminder if your child is sick with a fever they need to be fever free for 24 hours before they return to school.
