Classwork	Reading-Class novel Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.  Be sure to ask your student about this book.  This is one of  my favorite titles to read and discuss. Writing- Elements of Narrative Writing; Characters, Setting, Plot, B/M/E. Today we discussed how using sensory details make our stories better.      Math-1.6 Exploring Non Standard Volume Units   Book Buddies- Today we met our Book Buddies.  We are budding up with Mrs Pries again this year.  This is very exciting for our fifth graders.  Be sure to ask your child about their buddy.
